As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Carlstadt, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle access, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, help to deter incidents, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication, teamwork, reliability, and integrity in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and/or shipment documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, loading areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding security-related matters and daily activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
