Security Officer - Full Time (PM Shifts Available)

Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for a Security Officer to provide an excellent level of safety and security for hotel guests and staff alike; always with a smile, while providing great customer service within the beautiful Dalmar and Element Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The role of our Security Officers it to provide safety, security, and uphold organizational procedures and policies.

General Requirements

• Conduct patrols of the property, including interior and exterior areas.


• Ensure hotel property is secure and maintained safely.


• Monitor and responds to camera feeds.


• Respond to security and emergency situations.


• Complete shift reports and reports incidents to management.


• Ensure guest and employee safety with vigilance and responsiveness.


• Exercise good judgment and decision-making ability. May work independently.


• Participate in task forces and committees as requested.


• Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and associates.


• Ensure maintenance problems are promptly reported through proper channels.


• Comply with all company policies and procedures.


• Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures.


• Write shift reports including reports on any incidents of theft, accidents or injuries when assigned.


• Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.


• Check with manager/supervisor before leaving work area for any reason. Report to work on time when scheduled and in proper uniform.


• Attend department meetings as scheduled.


• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school education plus schooling in law enforcement, loss prevention, or related major.


• One or more years of related experience.


• Possesses and exhibits a high degree of honesty and integrity. 


• Alcohol awareness and first aid certification preferred.


• Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.
