As a Security Officer \u2013 Level 2 located in Redondo Beach, CA, you\u2019ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. \n\nThe Security Officer \u2013 Level 2 will patrol industrial premises to protect property and personnel against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and other hazards at our Redondo Beach, CA location. \n \nThis position will work 1st shift, weekends included. Shifts subject to change due to business need.\n\nJob responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\n\n * Guards and conduct patrols on campus to protect property and personnel against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and other potential hazards\n * Periodically patrol premises and examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure\n * Observe departing personnel to guard against thefts of company and personal property on campus\n * Inspect company equipment to ascertain if tampering has occurred\n * Report security irregularities\n * Respond to active alarms and medical emergencies\n * Permits authorized personnel to enter company property\n * Examine the credentials of persons desiring access to restricted areas\n * Issue temporary employee and visitor badges as required\n * Direct traffic on company premises when needed\n * Must be able to operate a company vehicle\n * Perform various escort duties on campus\n * Other duties as assigned\n\n\n\nIf this job description reads like it was written specifically for you, consider joining our team!\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience\n * Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) approval within a reasonable period of time\n * Ability to climb a ladder\n * Must possess a valid government issued driver\u2019s license\n * Must be able to operate/drive a company security vehicle\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Current California Guard Card.\n * Active Top Secret and/or SCI clearance.\n\n\n\nCurious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector? Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
