As a Security Officer, you’ll protect people, infrastructure, and operations in a high-reliability environment where procedures, teamwork, and sound judgment are essential.
This role is well-suited for individuals with military, security, or law enforcement backgrounds who are comfortable operating in structured settings and taking responsibility for safety and order.
You will provide on-site security coverage for facilities, helping ensure a safe, controlled, and professional environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting routine and random patrols on foot and by vehicle to maintain a visible security presence.
Monitoring surveillance systems and responding to alarms or irregular activity.
Controlling access to buildings and restricted areas using established procedures.
Maintaining accurate logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
Escorting employees, vendors, and authorized visitors as required.
Responding to incidents by assessing conditions, following escalation protocols, and requesting assistance when appropriate.
Managing site traffic and directing vehicle or pedestrian flow when needed.
Supporting shipping, receiving, and internal mail operations as assigned.
Communicating clearly and professionally with employees, visitors, and emergency responders.
Adhering to all legal, safety, and company requirements while on duty.
You’ll do well in this role if you:
Stay alert, professional, and composed while on post.
Understand the importance of procedures, consistency, and chain-of-command style escalation.
Make sound decisions during routine and unexpected situations.
Communicate clearly—both verbally and in written reports.
Take ownership of maintaining order, safety, and accountability on site.
High school diploma or GED.
Prior experience in the military, security, or law enforcement.
Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
Valid driver’s license.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Five or more years of experience in security, military service, or related roles.
Experience working in controlled, restricted, or high-security environments.
Familiarity with surveillance systems, access control tools, or monitoring equipment.
On-site work across multiple facilities.
Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods.
Ability to respond quickly to alarms or incidents.
Willingness to work assigned schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
