As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Guard in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Our unarmed patrol officers at a busy logistics and distribution location conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support site personnel with exceptional customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, work as part of a caring team, and act with integrity while helping promote a smooth and welcoming environment.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the distribution and warehouse location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, loading docks, trailer lots, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity involving employees, visitors, and delivery drivers, and report access concerns, damaged property, and/or policy violations in accordance with site guidelines.
• Support loss prevention and operational continuity by observing shipments, inventory movement, and high-traffic areas, then reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or irregular conditions to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
