Security Officer Overnight Access Control

As a Security Officer Driving Role Patrol in Dunn, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a driving patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a busy retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication. This unarmed role offers the chance to support access activities, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver customer service with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related observations and actions according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, help to deter unauthorized access, and verify credentials, visitor activity, and/or delivery traffic in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Support loss prevention and facility operations by reporting hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and communicating relevant information to supervisors and local contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
