As an Unarmed Security Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and the surrounding property; verify visitor access in accordance with site policies and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the shelter location, including interior common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence, communicate respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and report maintenance hazards, policy violations, and unusual activity to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
