The Security Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to success through planning, coordination, and management/supervision of access control, surveillance systems, security alarms, and other electronic security and special systems installation and retrofit projects.

The Project Manager will manage material and manpower scheduling and other logistics associated with successful project completion. This position will require an individual well-rounded in all aspects of commercial security alarm, access control, and surveillance systems, including financials, logistics, and customer interaction with end users, clients, and general contractors.

This position is a department head role and will oversee a team of field supervisors and technicians. Only candidates with demonstrated experience managing a commercial security division/company will be considered.

Qualifications:

• 5 -10 Years of Security/Access Control/Surveillance Project Management
• Capable of managing multiple access control, camera systems, and security alarm projects.
• Ability to assist with design as needed.
• PMP/PSP certifications are not required but are beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software associated with the role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Risk management and conflict resolution skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multitask.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient knowledge of security/access control systems and products.
• Experience with Avigilon, Lenel, Open Options, EXAQ, American Dynamics, and S-2 product lines is beneficial but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage manpower scheduling.
• Handle billing and take-offs when needed.
• Assists with design as needed.
• Manage multiple access control, surveillance, and alarm projects up to an exceeding 500K in value each.
• Manage other Project Managers and personnel assigned to the department.
• Manage the pre-installation planning with the installation team, vendors, General Contractor, customers, etc.
• Create project markups, read prints, and other prep to prepare for submission to the authority that has jurisdiction.
• Manage the planning and installation of cabling with the installation team.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and temporary staff.
• Track and manage change orders, project hours, overages, man-hours, etc.
• Achieve installation success on time and under budget.
• Manage project final billing.
• Develop and maintain project records and deliverables.
• All other duties as assigned
