Are you detail-driven, highly organized, and ready to play a key role in national security and regulatory compliance? At Global Laser Enrichment (GLE), we’re advancing groundbreaking nuclear technology—and we need a Security Specialist to help safeguard our operations and ensure we meet the highest standards of federal oversight.



This dynamic position works closely with the IT and Security Manager and cross-functional teams to manage security clearances, compliance programs, and regulatory documentation while serving as a trusted liaison with federal agencies.



Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Oversee and maintain Personnel Security Clearance (PCL) and Access Authorization records.

  • Ensure timely, accurate reporting to regulatory agencies (e.g., SEAD 3, NRC).

  • Track, document, and report security incidents in compliance with regulations.

  • Process PCL reinvestigations, Visit Authorization Requests, and clearance verifications.

  • Maintain records for Facility Security Clearances (FCL) and vendor security assessments.

  • Ensure compliance with PII protection and company security protocols.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and federal regulators to ensure smooth operations.

  • Provide clear, concise reports and recommendations to company leadership.



Qualifications and Experience:



  • Active NRC/DOE Q-Clearance (or Top Secret/SCI) required.

  • 2+ years of experience in managing FCL/PCL clearance databases and secure facility procedures.

  • Familiarity with NC PPSB licensing, regulatory certifications, and security systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience with a high school diploma).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and secure data management.

  • Strong analytical, multitasking, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to engage at all levels.

  • Experience interfacing with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) preferred.




Note: Due to the sensitive nature of this role, U.S. Citizenship and the ability to maintain a DOE/NRC Q-Clearance are required.
