\n\n### SECURITY SPECIALIST - ARMED\n\n### Department: Campus Police \nStatus: Full Time / 80 hours per pay period \nShift Hours: 12 Hour Shifts to Include Day or Night Shift, Also Weekends \u0026 Holidays \nFacility: ATRIUM MEDICAL CENTER \n \n \nThis position is responsible for the safety and security of patients, visitors, employees and hospital property. Patrols hospital campus and buildings to deter thefts, vandalism and disturbances. Responds to security needs of Atrium Medical Center personnel and emergencies. Provides law enforcement support to Atrium Medical Center campus. Acts as Middletown Special Police Officer, sworn to support the United States, the State of Ohio and the laws of the State of Ohio and the Ordinances of the City of Middletown.ate of Ohio and the Ordinances of the City of Middletown. \n \n \n\n### EDUCATION\n\n * ### High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum 200 hours of Police training at an Ohio Peace Training Council accredited academy.\n\n * ### Experience: Six months\u2019 previous security or law enforcement experience is preferred.\n\n\n\n\n### \n\n### LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION\n\n * ### OPOTA- Required Basic Security Guard Training. Including, the state required 20 hours of firearms Training \n\n * ### Valid Ohio driver\u2019s license required\n\n\n\n\n### \n\n### EXPERIENCE\n\n * ### Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience\n\n\n\n\n### \n\n### KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS\n\n * ### Computer skills desirable\n\n * ### This position requires an individual able to work under pressure with many interruptions while remaining calm and pleasant to the public and facility personnel\n\n * ### Good written and oral communications and organizational skills. Some typing and computer experience required. Effective telephone skills. \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n
