Job Description
This role is ideal for individuals with experience in installation, service, or both - we're open to candidates who excel in hands-on installs, troubleshooting service work, or a mix of the two. As a Field Technician, you'll be working on a variety of customer sites in Southern California, handling systems that protect and support critical infrastructure. Every day brings something different - from new system installs to diagnosing and repairing complex issues in the field.
Install, configure, and test low voltage systems, including:Access control, CCTV / IP video surveillance, Intrusion detection, Fire/life safety and related technologies
Provide service and troubleshooting support for existing systems, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer issues
Perform site surveys and assist in project planning when needed
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports and project updates
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to deliver high-quality solutions
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a field technician in low voltage, security, or electrical systems (installation and/or service)
Working knowledge of wiring, electronics, and system integration
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Comfortable working at customer sites, which may include commercial, healthcare, industrial, or government environments
