Selector (2nd Shift - Marketbox)

Description

The Selector evaluates and chooses bulk produce orders according to the pick sheet in preparation for delivery to the customer.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pull (select) orders according to pick sheet
• Inspect produce to determine whether it meets acceptable standard of quality
• Remove defective product so that it may be properly disposed of
• Scan pallets/boxes of produce out of inventory 
• Stack cases of produce neatly and evenly on a pallet to ensure safe transport
• Have order approved and checked by a Checker 
• Load orders onto customer vehicle or transport truck(s) from dock, when needed
• Clean work area and keep it free of water and debris
• Operate Electric Pallet Jack in a safe manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

SCHEDULE:

3:00PM to 11:00PM, Off Tuesday OR Wednesday and Saturdays 

Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read and write English. Must be able to display basic arithmetic skills.

TRAINING, SKILLS, LICENSES: Produce experience is preferred. 1 year of experience working in a warehouse, Electric Pallet Jack experience preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, loud, cold and/or humid conditions. The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, rotate or twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.EOE/Vet/Disabled
