The Department of Chemistry is looking for a part-time SEM Manager to manage and maintain the Scanning Electron Microscope. This position is responsible for a facility that serves a diverse group of researchers across the department.
The SEM Manager will oversee instrument operation and maintenance, provide expert technical guidance and training, and partner with faculty, staff, and students. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication and organizational skills.

The expected salary range for this position is $69,000 - $79,000.This is a part time (33%) position, so actual pay within this range will depend on the appointment percentage, experience and qualifications.
Benefits eligibility for this position will be based on the total percentage of all active appointments at UW-Madison held by the selected candidate
Extensive experience using SEM/EDS
Strong organization, collaboration, and communication skills
Excellent problem-solving capabilities
PhD in Chemistry, Material Science and Engineering, or related fields is required by the start of the appointment
