Senior Account Associate

As a Talk Shop Senior Account Associate, you will bring an excitement for storytelling, paired with acute knowledge of the media landscape. You will lead a number of diverse and robust accounts across sectors such as technology, lifestyle, real estate, professional services, healthcare, and more. As a key member of Talk Shop’s integrated team, you will help increase visibility and brand awareness for our client's organizations, project managing various accounts and garnering impactful media coverage in top-tier media publications, relevant to client audiences. A day in the life of a Senior Account Associate

• Write impactful media pitches that quickly communicate why our clients are making an impact in their respective industries


• Pitch media across a variety of media outlets and industries - adaptability and ability to manage a robus tasklist is a must 


• Quickly and efficiently coordinate media interviews and client briefings, ensuring both media and clients have the required details 


• Pursue bright ideas and seek solutions – if your pitch hasn’t landed, you’ll lead a discussion about why it may not have worked so that you and the Account Lead can build a plan on how to move forward


• Lead the charge on select accounts, ensuring that we’re wowing clients with impactful coverage, clear communication and no missed deadlines


• Proactively anticipate needs of accounts and have the ability to move initiatives forward


• Write clear, concise press releases that capture media attention


• Build smart media lists that will make pitching a success


• Help design influencer engagement programs and execute on campaigns


• Help design and execute various events


• Monitor media daily to find and track the coverage secured to help highlight our impact and results to the client 

What you’ll bring

• Minimum of 3-5 years of PR experience, either at an agency or in-house


• Proven track record pitching media to secure media coverage – tell us or share some of your greatest success stories


• Knowledge of the media landscape – we want to hear about what media you’re reading on a daily basis and who your favourite reporters are


• Media and influencer relationships - who do you have strong relationships with


• Strong knowledge or experience in communications or marketing


• Knowledge and experience with influencer relations and events


• Excellent writing skills – ability to weave current events, policy news, trends and data into insightful content for media consumption


• Exceptional creativity – a great eye for a story, and ability to come up with creative ways to use communications to engage stakeholders


• Ability to manage priorities and balance a deadline-driven workload with complete accuracy and without feeling overwhelmed


• Extreme attention to detail – you take pride in the high-quality, client-ready work you produce


• Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to contribute in a high-performing team environment

Compensation 

Talk Shop is committed to offering competitive pay for the role and experience that the candidate brings.

Pay range: 65k-80k annual salary

Talk Shop US (LA) - This is a hybrid role, with a mix of in-office and remote time.
