Job Description - Senior Account Executive

Role Overview

Senior Account Executive responsible for driving new business growth, building client relationships, and expanding staffing services across the Maryland market. This role focuses on business development, client engagement, and the delivery of contract and contract-to-hire staffing solutions within a high-growth, performance-driven environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new client opportunities across the assigned territory.
  • Conduct consistent cold outreach and hold 10+ in-person client meetings weekly.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers.
  • Present staffing solutions and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Partner with recruiters to source and present qualified candidates.
  • Maintain ongoing client communication to ensure satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, bill rates, pay rates, and staffing practices.
  • Manage hiring and employment documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in IT staffing preferred.

  • Experience in contract and/or contract-to-hire staffing required.

  • Background in both contract and permanent placements acceptable (direct-hire-only experience not suitable).

  • Experience in IT or other professional staffing verticals with contract staffing exposure.

  • Strong business development mindset with comfort in cold calling.

  • Outgoing, client-focused personality with strong communication skills.

  • Experience beyond VMS-only environments preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred.

Additional Considerations

  • Open to recruiters transitioning into sales with strong client engagement skills.
  • Preference for candidates local to the assigned territory.
  • Mix of federal and commercial client engagement.
  • Office location subject to future relocation within the region.
