Job Description - Senior Account Executive - Energy Solutions (Performance Contracting)

Are you ready to make a direct impact on the future of clean energy and sustainability? We’re hiring a Senior Account Executive to lead the sales of performance-based energy solutions that help clients reduce costs, boost efficiency, and meet aggressive sustainability goals.

This is a high-level, strategic sales role within a nationally recognized Sustainable Infrastructure and Energy Solutions provider. You’ll work with C-suite decision-makers, build long-term partnerships, and lead the sale of guaranteed energy savings performance contracts across the commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal close for bundled energy solutions and performance contracts
  • Sell into target verticals by identifying and cultivating relationships with C-level executives and facility stakeholders
  • Conduct client needs assessments and propose customized energy savings strategies
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, and legal teams to build detailed, ROI-driven proposals
  • Utilize Salesforce, TAS, and strategic account planning tools to manage pipeline
  • Serve as the client advocate from early conversations through project implementation
  • Mentor junior sales team members and support territory growth strategy

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, or related field (MBA a plus)
  • 5–7+ years of B2B solution sales experience, ideally in energy performance contracting, ESCO, sustainability, or facility solutions
  • Demonstrated success selling large, multi-year contracts to executive stakeholders
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to craft value-driven, technical proposals
  • Excellent consultative selling, relationship-building, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
