The State & Local Government (SLG) Account Executive for Wolters Kluwer (WK) Legal and Regulatory US is responsible for collaborating with the Sales Manager and State & Local Government (SLG) Account Manager to develop and execute sales strategy for an assigned account base and geography.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sales plan that includes new and existing sales strategies for State & Local Government Agencies.
Builds a solid working relationship with each customer to identify their needs, expand product usage, and execute on sales opportunities to achieve company goals, maximize customer satisfaction and drive profitable sales growth within the territory.
Gathers detailed information about accounts, identifies decision-makers, understands strategic business challenges and priorities, and leads team in analyzing information and prioritizing opportunities critical to accounts. Ensures professional sales coordination and account planning.
Leverages extensive industry, product and customer knowledge to optimize strategic plans for the territory and contribute to the strategies of various internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Product Management) and the company as a whole.
Responsible for proposals, account or market plans, and forecast/report sales activity.
Performs other duties as requested by the Associate Director
Qualifications: Education
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing/Sales, or related discipline;
Experience
Minimum Experience: 3 years of sales experience, including:
Networking and prospecting
Interacting with people at all levels of an organization (including C-level executives)
Conveying value proposition to clients
Composing presentations and proposals
Negotiating and influencing business decisions
Meeting or exceeding revenue targets
Demonstrating excellent presentation skills
Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication
Utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Utilizing Customer Relationship Management software
Preferred Experience: 5 years of sales experience, including:
Working in the legal industry
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Domestic travel approximately 25% of work time (e.g., client sites, industry events)
