Senior Accountant

Our client, an upcoming iGaming operator based in Malta, is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join their growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have a background in the iGaming industry and will be responsible for supporting daily financial operations, preparing management accounts, and contributing to the continuous improvement of finance processes.

Core Responsibilities

• Daily Accounting Operations: Responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks and providing key support to senior finance staff to ensure the smooth running of financial operations.
• Management Accounts Preparation: Assists in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, contributing to meaningful financial analysis and reporting.
• Year-End Audit Support: Collaborates closely with the CFO to ensure an accurate and efficient year-end audit process, providing all necessary documentation and support.
• Process Improvement: Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement within the finance function and implements enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Treasury & Bank Relationship Management: Monitors bank accounts and manages treasury functions, maintaining ongoing communication with banking partners, as well as with the internal Operations and PSP teams to resolve issues and ensure compliance with workflows.
• PSP Reconciliations: Performs regular reconciliations of Payment Service Provider accounts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an accounting role within the iGaming industry is essential.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in reconciliation processes, particularly with PSPs.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• A proactive attitude with a keen eye for process improvement.
