Requirements
- Technical Accounting Expertise: Proficiency in GAAP accounting processes, ideally with exposure to ASC 606, 842 and/or 805 to support capitalization of cost efforts.
- Financial Services Background: Experience in a fast-paced financial services company (banking, RIA, insurance, etc.) with strong accounting fundamentals
- Process Improvement Skills: Ability to enhance accounting processes for efficiency and scalability
- PE PortCo: Experience working with or reporting to private equity firms, including financial reporting and cash flow forecasting.
- Acquisition Integration Support: Involvement in post-acquisition accounting integration and due diligence activities.
- Leadership Potential: Demonstrated ability to grow into a trusted business leader

Responsibilities
- Own accounting operations: Oversee daily accounting activities including month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting - in alignment with GAAP
- Point Person: Own relationships and support across tax partners, audit firm and outsourced accounting support
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to drive efficiency across core accounting procedures, proactively search for ways to increase profitability across the business, including capitalization of costs and asset acquisitions.
- Lead Financial Reporting: Owner financial statement prep & review in partnership with CFO as well as prepare quarterly cash forecast reporting for the Private Equity partner.
