The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the Company by providing accounting, compliance, analysis, reporting and reconciliations to support month end close. This is a hybrid role.



Key Areas of Responsibility

• Complete assigned tasks as regular part of month end closing process in accordance with month end closing schedule.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries documenting business transactions related to each month-end close.
• Participate in organization, compilation, and preparation of external audit requests.
• Maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly accruals for all of revenue that was not able to be invoiced.
• Complete weekly integration of sales in the ERP and tie out to the Aging.
• Complete departmental projects, including the implementation of accounting changes.
• Ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures and internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes- Oxley Act 2002 Section 404.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field required, plus five years of general ledger and financial statement reporting experience.
• Must have mathematical skills consistent with obtaining a four-year accounting degree.
• This position requires daily use of an accounting software package for a medium size company. Previous experience with this type of software is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and other associates required.
• Ability to show proficiency in the following computer applications: MS Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to embody and reflect Vestcom’s core values
