Senior Accountant

Salary: $75,000 - 95,000 DOE

Hours: 8:00am - 5:30pm 

Location: Hudson, OH

My client is a Northeast Ohio based company with over 72 years of continuous success selling nationally to healthcare and medical practices. They are currently looking for a professional, motivated Senior Accountant! This position reports to the Controller and is a unique opportunity to get exposure to the wide range of activities that occur within the Accounting department along with supporting the continued growth of the business.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries on a monthly basis

• Prepare and analyze key account reconciliations monthly with timely resolution on reconciling items

• Key participant in our annual budget and planning process

• Calculate monthly Customer and vendor rebates and incentives

• Support the annual financial statement audit

• Identity and drive process improvement opportunities

• Various special project

Key Requirements:

• Candidate must be organized, accurate, show a sense of urgency and have a strong ability to multi-task. 

• Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, display initiative with decision making and show a genuine desire for continuous improvement. 

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel is strongly encouraged.

• Familiarity with Oracle and Oracle Report Writer is a plus. 

• 4-year degree in Accounting/Finance is required

• 1-3 years of public accounting or relevant accounting experience is preferred 

• CPA designation is a plus.
