Job Description - Senior Accountant (CPA)

Position Purpose:

Preparing monthly and quarterly grant and utilization reports, annual cost reports, and audit schedules. Knowledge of federal and state funding compliance regulations is required. Provide services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or a related fieldCPA requiredExcellent Excel skillsExperience in general accounting proceduresExperience with federal, state and local grant funding regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent organizational skillsProficient computer skills (NetSuite or similar ERP experience)Self-starter with ability to work independentlyExperience in Behavioral Health/Non-for-Profit sectorAbility to work within a teamBelief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance

Essential Responsibilities:

Work hours prescribed by the Director and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements.Familiarity with Accounting/Financial SoftwarePreparation of Journal Entries in accordance with GAAP, including accrual journal entries.Banking and Cash familiarity, including monthly reconciliationsUtilization reporting, including monthly grant utilization reports and reconciling reports to revenue accountsReview and prepare invoices, including monthly grant invoicingPrepare monthly and quarterly reports for fundersPrepare utilization reports for managementReview program financials for appropriate revenue recognitionComplete audit schedules as requestedPrepare year-end cost reportsFederal Funding complianceAssist with the annual budgeting process, and prepare schedules as neededProvide financial feedback to clinical staff.Participate in team projects, including leading projects.Serve as a member of the Finance team and participate in all team meetings and activities.Provide backup support to Controller, and Staff Accountants as needed.Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Ethics and with the framework of the law.Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.Serve as a role model for other staff, patients, and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance

Schedule:

8-hour shifts

Shift: 8:30 am - 5:00 pmMonday through Friday - the possibility of a hybrid schedule after the initial training period

Work Location:

Rosecrance Health Network - Rockford, Champaign, Chicago, IL or Sioux City, IA
