Job Description:

• Assists in compiling the quarterly financial report for the Board and external stakeholders, encompassing financial data, performance metrics, narratives of business occurrences, and discrepancies, among others.
• Attends routine meetings with business units to review outstanding invoices and engages in discussions with staff regarding departmental reports.
• Offers consultation and recommendations to operational management, providing progress updates to Financial Management.
• Creates tailored schedules to aid in monitoring specific general ledger accounts for financial supervisors.
• Maintains an efficient internal control framework to ensure accurate data collection and reporting..
• Assists in preparing audit schedules at year-end, including financial data, footnotes, and supplementary/statistical schedules.
• Prepares standard, ad-hoc, and one-time journal entries and conducts account reconciliations for management review.
• Convenes with management and staff to address discrepancies, propose alterations, and establish protocols, as necessary.
• Conducts monthly reviews of assigned cost center reports for accuracy and variances compared to budgeted amounts for the current period and year-to-date balances.
• Ensures adherence to financial obligations outlined in contracts with third parties.
• Reviews contracts as needed, potentially engaging with third parties and legal personnel, and makes recommendations.
• Participates in the recruitment process and assists in the training, cross-training, and evaluation of staff as directed by management.

 
Qualifications:

• 5+ years within Accounting preferred
• Bachelor's degree within Accounting preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) directives and interpretations.
• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and Oracle is helpful

Pay Details: $72,000.00 to $73,000.00 per year
