The ideal candidate is a strong technical accountant who enjoys a fast-paced, multi-unit quick-service restaurant (QSR) environment, takes ownership of results and is ready to grow into a management role.

  • Support lease accounting and other GAAP technical matters

Leadership and team support

  • Train, mentor and review the work of Staff Accountants and AP/AR team members

  • Act as backup to the Accounting Manager and answer escalated questions from the team and store operations

  • Partner with Operations, HR/Payroll and leadership on special projects, budgeting and ad hoc analysis

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong, solid understanding of GAAP, including accruals, fixed assets and lease accounting

  • Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, lookups (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH), SUMIFS and macros

  • Ability to review others' work for accuracy and give clear, constructive feedback

  • Thorough and detail-oriented, with sound judgment on materiality and when to escalate

  • Resourceful critical thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Can work independently and lead or collaborate within a team

  • Flexible; adjusts to changing priorities in a growing, multi-unit business

  • Organizes and prioritizes own and team work to meet close deadlines

  • Works effectively under pressure and tight schedules while producing accurate results
