Senior Accountant - Join a Leading Company

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

The Arc Westchester, a leading non-for-profit social services organization in Westchester County, has a full-time position for a Senior Accountant in Hawthorne, NY. The position is in-office (not remote).

Responsibilities for Senior Accountant Include:

• Journal Entries
• Monthly Expense Allocations
• Supervision of 2 AP staff
• Run AP checks; send EFT files to the bank
• Monthly closing of AP
• Download daily bank EFT file
• Prove EFT/ Bank Drafts from bank to GL weekly/monthly
• Audit of GL accounts
• Problem-solve, answer inquiries
• Various other duties

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA preferred
• 3 years of related experience preferred
• Good attendance/ dependability
• Proficient in Excel and strong technology skills required
• Ability to multi-task

• Strong interpersonal/ communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Must be a team player
