What the Role Offers - Senior Accountant – Reporting and Budgeting


We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Senior Accountant – Reporting and Budgeting to join our Finance Team. The Senior Accountant – Reporting and Budgeting will be responsible for developing and driving the reporting and budgeting process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial reporting, experience working with ERP systems, excellent communication and presentation skills, a proactive problem-solving mindset and a proven track record of success working in a fast-paced environment in the consulting, biotechnology or manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for the ideal candidate to build and lead the reporting and budgeting discipline at Inventprise.


 


What You Need to Succeed:



  • Lead and manage financial reporting including management reporting. budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans and operating forecasts.

  • Perform research and present findings in the areas that impact the company's financial performance.

  • Lead overall project management of critical financial activities.

  • Prepare and lead presentations on various financial projects.

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Experience using and managing an ERP system like NetSuite is a must.



Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required. MBA or Masters Degree preferred.

  • 3-5 years of professional experience.

  • Experience working in a consulting, biotechnology or manufacturing company a plus.

  • CPA, CFA or related certifications a plus.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and present complex financial concepts in a simple manner.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with different levels of stakeholders across departments.

  • Comfort with a fast-paced and at times, an ambiguous environment.

  • Exhibits a proactive problem-solving mindset and approach.



Physical Demands:



  • Frequent use of office equipment that requires manual dexterity to operate (i.e., computers, phones, etc.).

  • Occasional carrying, handling, and reaching for objects up to 30 pounds.

  • Frequently sit or stand for long periods of time.



Mental Demands:



  • Requires operational discipline to consistently focus and execute work-related tasks, with a minimum of human error and supervision. This involves self-checking of work immediately upon completion, and the ability to find / correct errors.

  • Ability to elevate potential concerns/discrepancies to executive management in a timely fashion.

  • Ability to manage time effectively to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to use problem-solving techniques to ensure project goals are met. 

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to communicate within different departments and with external clients, maintaining a professional demeanor.



Working Conditions:



  • This is an onsite position in Redmond, WA. Relocation assistance is available.

  • Primarily this position involves working in an office environment.


 


Estimated Base Salary: 



  •  $102,000 - $130,000 Yearly DOE

  • It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

  • The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.

  • 401(k) program: Inventprise offers both pre-tax 401(k) and post-tax Roth retirement savings plans, letting you decide how you want to save for the future. We also make an employer contribution of 3% of your total earnings each pay period, regardless of whether you contribute.

  • Paid Time Off: Generous PTO, in addition to paid holidays.

  • Stock & Bonus Plans: Employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s Bonus and Stock plans.
