Senior Accountant - with Great Benefits

TechLaw Consultants, Inc., is a nationwide, employee-owned firm headquartered in Chantilly, VA, and has been in business since 1983. Our environmental consultants help government and commercial clients assess performance, manage risk, implement sustainable remedies, and resolve uncertainty.

The Senior Accountant manages the government accounting processes and the department. This role will oversee the federal contracting required accounting practices, including project set up, billing, revenue and general ledger reporting, AP and payroll.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Manage the accounting department
• Prepare and manage cash reporting
• Project Set up & revenue recognition
• Government & Commercial billing
• Manage the General ledger reconciliation and reporting
• Manage and oversee Accounts Payable
• Manage the Month End Close
• Manage Fixed Assets
• Oversee Payroll

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, or associate degree in accounting is required
• 10 years experience in government contracting
• 5 to 7 years in management and managing a team
• Costpoint Experience preferred
• Legal U.S. citizenship, with ability to obtain and maintain state and federal security clearances
• At least 21 years of age, with a valid driver's license and safe driving record
