Senior Accounting Analyst

As a full-time member of our professional staff in our Buffalo office, you would have senior bookkeeper responsibilities with a core focus in our Outsourced Accounting Solutions (OAS) practice.
Please note that you may be required to travel and work at local client sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee and review bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple clients in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards.
- Manage the monthly close process, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial statement review.
- Analyze financial results and provide insights, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing work and ensuring timely, accurate deliverables.
- Maintain and improve client accounting systems, including process optimization and best practices.
- Oversee A/P, A/R, and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor cash flow, expenditures, and budgets to support client decision-making.
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and related reporting.
- Prepare financial reports and serve as a client resource.
Required skills:
- 2+ years experience in Accounting
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper/accountant
- Demonstrate analytical skills to identify issues
- Ability to problem solve
- Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, manage time and accomplish results within deadlines
- Ability to work within a team as well as independently
- Demonstrated self-starter
- Excellent organization and written/verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Outlook is required
- Experience in QuickBooks and/or other accounting software packages
Education and Experience:
- - Associate's Degree in Accounting with 2+ years Accounting Experience
- Preferred- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 2+ years Accounting Experience
