Reporting to the Financial controller, the Senior Accounting Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring a timely period-end close and accurate financial reporting, as well as assisting the finance team with day-to-day business operations. The ideal candidate is highly proactive, a strong critical thinker, a problem solver, and extremely organized. You are someone who works independently on a variety of tasks and adapts to a fast-changing environment.
What you’ll do:
Contribute to monthly financial operations by assisting in account preparation, and reconciliation, and conducting insightful analyses of financial statements to ensure accuracy.
Assist in preparation and processing of accounts payable transactions.
Support month-end and year-end close accounting processes.
Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data to ensure accurate accounting records.
Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Supporting the audit preparation and providing relevant documentation to the auditors.
Contribute to process improvements and optimization of accounting procedures.
About you:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
2+ years of professional experience in audit, or accounting
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (experience with Quickbooks or similar tool is a plus)
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Well-organized and able to handle multiple tasks quickly and accurately
High energy, flexible, and has a willingness to take initiative
CPA designation an asset
