Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger across multiple entities

• Review, refine, and improve recurring accounting entries and workflows

• Oversee intercompany transactions, cross-entity payments, and consolidated reporting

• Approve work from junior team members and provide mentorship where needed

• Manage credit card reconciliations and support compliance/tax-related submissions

• Maintain accuracy in job costing, service billing, and lease documentation

• Detect and resolve posting issues across systems in real time

• Support the development of financial dashboards, internal tools, and KPIs

• Document and enhance SOPs and support ongoing process improvements

Recommended Qualifications

• 46+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or multi-entity environment

• Strong command of GAAP principles, GL structure, and month-end accounting practices

• Proven ability to mentor team members and review accounting outputs with precision

• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and templates

• Comfortable working with ERP platforms such as Sage 100 (or similar systems)

• Exceptional troubleshooting skills and systems fluency across accounting platforms

• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in identifying and solving inefficiencies

Preferred Background

• Associates degree in Accounting required; Bachelors preferred

• Familiarity with manufacturing finance, job costing, or intercompany accounting

• Experience working in rapidly evolving or high-growth environments

• Comfortable navigating hybrid workflows and collaborating with cross-functional teams
