Job Description - Senior Accounts Payable Specialist - BNY Mellon Return to Work Program

What You'll Contribute Day-to-Day:Responsible for the end-to-end Accounts Payable process and will assume complete ownership of the service deliveryProvide decision support to the business, analyzing invoice processes, compliance to policy and recommendations for rectificationEnsure disputes are resolved with supplier on a timely basis as agreed with the clientIdentify and execute automation opportunities to streamline the process and gain process efficiencyDeliver on defined targets and drive process improvements, focused on improving quality, speed, controls and value to the customerCreate goals and development plan for the team and work closely to identify training and coaching requirements for the groupComplete ownership of client complaint & resolution process, best practice / idea sharing for the teamsDrive continuous improvement initiatives like – Avoiding duplicate payment, improve paid on time, Improve cycle timeTo ensure timely and qualitative processing of Accounts Payable Transactions, month end close, reconciliations and reporting as per SLA & OLATimely preparation RCA & maintain the Process & IT Issue logEnsure compliance with policies and proceduresEnsure Customer satisfaction through prompt resolution of all queriesEnsure all the Reports are published on a timely basisEnsuring Timely preparation / updating of process documentation & signed offEstablish process for conducting periodic performance reviewsEnsure timely and accurate reporting on process performance metrics / any other metrics or trackersAdditional Requirements:Capable of managing senior stakeholdersFlexible and willingness to work all shift HoursShould have good analytical skillsExcellent communication skillsLargely driven by self-Initiative & self-driveAbility to perform in pressure situation

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:Bachelor/Master’s degree in Commerce/MBA (Finance) or equivalent combination of education and experience required3-5 years of total work experienceKnowledge of PeopleSoft/Oracle/SAP Accounts payable module and end to end source to pay/Accounts Payable operations including process transformation initiativesPrior experience of change management in Source-To-Pay operations is mandatoryStrong understanding of latest Microsoft Office applications i.e., Word, PowerPoint, ExcelIt's An Added Bonus If You Have:Any supply chain management certification
