Location:

Plano, TX. Full-time, office-based opportunity at our headquarters, offering direct collaboration with attorneys, finance leadership, and senior management.

Candidates should have 4+ years of accounts receivable and B2B collections experience, ideally within a law firm, professional services firm, or similar business-to-business environment. This is a senior-level, client-facing collections position, not a clerical accounts receivable or third-party collection agency role.

Job Description

• Lead accounts receivable collection efforts for sophisticated business and professional services clients
• Manage aging receivables, high-value outstanding balances, collection priorities, and at-risk accounts
• Communicate directly with business owners, executives, and professional clients regarding outstanding balances and payment expectations
• Develop practical payment resolutions while maintaining positive, long-term client relationships
• Collaborate with attorneys, partners, finance leadership, and billing teams on collections strategies
• Evaluate account risk based on payment history, balance size, client relationships, and business considerations
• Identify collection obstacles and coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing disputes and payment issues
• Recommend escalation strategies for sensitive, complex, or significantly delinquent accounts
• Monitor accounts receivable aging, collection trends, payment patterns, and cash flow risks
• Provide management with actionable insights and recommendations to improve AR performance
• Identify opportunities to streamline collections processes, reduce outstanding balances, and improve cash flow
• Maintain professional, diplomatic, and appropriately persistent communication throughout the collections process

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounts receivable and collections experience preferred, particularly in professional services or B2B environments
• Experience managing high-dollar receivables and complex client payment situations
• Strong understanding of AR aging, collection prioritization, payment follow-up, and escalation procedures
• Demonstrated experience communicating directly with executives, business owners, and professional clients
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship management skills
• Ability to balance assertive collections efforts with exceptional client service
• Strong financial judgment, business acumen, and analytical skills
• Ability to independently manage priorities and collaborate effectively with senior leadership
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and follow-through
• Prior law firm or legal services experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with legal billing systems, matter-based billing, or professional services billing preferred
• Business degree or equivalent experience
