Accountabilities
- Proactively provides resources, information, advice, and expertise with coworkers and stakeholders.
- Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date expertise within the Commercial Pharmacy benefit to generate creative solutions.
- Supports actuarial documentation by preparing and reviewing the actuarial portion of financial reports.
- Participates in product line evaluations by conducting analysis of product line financials and pricing.
- Stays abreast of actuarial research by examining developments in standards, assumptions, and regulations.
- Assesses, analyzes, and interprets financial risks and opportunities applying actuarial methods.
- Supports collaborations with business partners by translating actuarial constructs into non-technical recommendations.
- Develops and enhances actuarial models and assists with validating data and results.
Requirements
- 5+ years of actuary experience with 3+ years of Commercial Payer / PBM experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and ASA required.
- Proficient with data analytics; advanced Excel required, proficient SQL/SAS preferred.
- Mastery of data manipulation software such as Excel, SAS, Python.
- Excellent communication and relational skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Demonstrated time management skills for handling multiple assignments.
- Ability to function and manage projects independently.
