Job Description - Senior Administration Manager

Senior Administration Manager 


 


The Senior Administration Manager is responsible for ensuring effective business operations, overseeing events, and providing executive administrative support. We are looking for someone who has expertise in people and project management and generalist skills and experience across the range of business operations functions. Ideal candidates are flexible, highly organized, and oriented to customer-service. This position partners with the Administration Director in the areas of finance and budgeting; human resources (HR) and labor relations; compliance and risk management; information technology (IT); culture, collaboration, internal communications and change management; and board relations. Additionally, they directly supervise employees who are responsible for planning and executing internal and external events. This position also provides executive assistance to the Executive Director and the Administration Director. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced administrative professional who is looking to make an impact in the health equity field.  


 


This position is ideally based in Sacramento County, though consideration will also be given to candidates who live elsewhere in California. CPEHN maintains physical offices in Sacramento, Oakland, and Los Angeles and has a hybrid work policy (air travel ). CPEHN has a mandatory up-to-date COVID-19 vaccine policy. 


 


Salary Range: $80,500 to $82,500

Senior Administrative Manager 


California (Hybrid)



The California Pan-Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN) is seeking a full-time Senior Administration Manager. CPEHN is a statewide health policy organization focused on addressing racial and ethnic health disparities. CPEHN works closely with communities of color to elevate local voices and health issues to state and local policymakers. CPEHN supports communities of color in advancing policy change and structural reform that creates equitable conditions for their communities. This position is ideally based in Sacramento County, but candidates who live elsewhere will also be considered. CPEHN maintains physical offices in Oakland, Sacramento, and Los Angeles and has a hybrid work policy (air travel ). CPEHN has a mandatory up-to-date COVID-19 vaccine policy. 



The Senior Administration Manager is responsible for ensuring effective business operations, overseeing events, and providing executive administrative support. The ideal candidate will have expertise in nonprofit administration, some event planning experience, a track record of demonstrating
skilled people management, and the desire to continue learning and growing. This position supports employees and Board members in successfully carrying out their work. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced administrative professional to join a hardworking, results-focused administrative team. Key Job Duties 


 



  • Partner with the Administration Director to carry out work across the full range of business operation functions: finance and budgeting; human resources (HR) and labor relations; compliance and risk management; information technology (IT); culture, collaboration, internal communications and change management; and board relations. 



  • Oversee the planning and execution of internal and external events that achieve CPEHN’s goals and efficiently utilize resources. 



  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Administration Director by managing schedules, communications, and various administrative tasks. 


 


Required Qualifications 


 



  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in administrative management or a similar role, with a proven track record of people management, supervision, executive support,  and operational excellence.  



  • At least 3 years of direct supervision.  



  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet conflicting deadlines within a dynamic environment.  



  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively and professionally with diverse staff, Board, constituents, and stakeholders.  



  • Strong computer skills, including Adobe Acrobat and the Microsoft Office Suite. 



  • Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.  



  • Organized with a strong attention to detail.  



  • Cultural humility.  




Compensation and Benefits:
