Senior Advisor – DHS / FEMA Support
Job Title: Senior Advisor
Company: ASR International
Location: The ASR Washington Metropolitan Area office with frequent visits to the Department of Homeland Security facilities in the Washington Metro Area
Job Type: Full-Time
Travel: Approved travel may be required.

We are seeking dedicated professionals to support our contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for NTED Program Support Services.
Job Summary:
Senior Advisor Offers senior strategic advisory support to NTED leadership on Training Partners Program (TPP) initiatives. Responsibilities include conducting high-level reviews of major all-hazards curricula and training initiatives; providing expert counsel on policy, standards, and program direction; advising on outcomes and implementation of training delivery audits and Review Boards; facilitating senior-level stakeholder engagement; and contributing to long-term strategic planning and continuous improvement of FEMA-sponsored training programs.

The Senior Advisor will perform highly complex evaluations and provide strategic guidance on processes and systems for emergency management training support.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate complex procedures, processes, techniques, models, and systems.
  • Provide guidance and direction to project teams in an advisory capacity.
  • Assist in analysis, reports, and presentations.
  • Use sophisticated tools for analysis and decision-making.
  • Define tasks, ensure technical adequacy, and oversee project success.
Qualifications:
  • Progressively responsible experience in a technical or specialty area, including at least 8 years as an internal or external consultant.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in automated word processing, graphics, and desktop publishing systems.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Master Graduate or professional degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; may be substituted for demonstrated expertise and national reputation (e.g., publications, committees).
Preferred Skills:
  • National reputation in scientific or professional fields.
  • Experience in high-level government advising.
