Senior Analyst Washington, DC | Full-time | Contingent upon contract award Job Description Safal Partners is seeking a Senior Analyst to provide project management support services on a federal contract. The Senior Analyst will lead the design and execution of the client's project tracking infrastructure, core function documentation, and project launch and communication support activities. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in federal workforce policy and demonstrated ability to manage multiple federal stakeholders, translate requirements into structured systems, and deliver high-quality written products under shifting priorities. Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain a standardized project tracking system for clients, incorporating approved AI tools where appropriate to pull data and status updates
- Prepare progress reports for client leadership covering risks, dependencies, and challenges across workstreams
- Work with front office and program staff to conduct an environmental scan of the client's internal drives and core functions, identifying existing SOPs, guidance, and materials
- Build and maintain a Core Functions Directory, including SOPs, quick reference guides, and a recurring activities calendar, organized to support both staff usability and AI-assisted navigation
- Conduct periodic environmental scans and market research to inform client project planning, policy development, and cross-agency coordination
- Draft talking points, briefing materials, presentations, and fact sheets for internal and external events
- Provide training and technical assistance to client staff
- Support the Project Manager in developing status reports and other deliverables in plain-language, 508-compliant, editable formats
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 7 years of experience in roles involving federal program or federal consulting work related to project tracking, stakeholder communication, strategic planning, or risk management
- Demonstrated experience managing federal stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in workforce development and education policy, including direct familiarity with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior federal leadership audiences
- Proven ability to manage competing and evolving priorities and to incorporate feedback quickly and accurately
- Experience developing SOPs, resource databases, training materials, or similar process documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience supporting U.S. Department of Labor program offices
- Experience with document management systems, file governance, or knowledge management for federal clients
- Familiarity with AI-assisted document indexing, search, or summarization tools
- Experience supporting federal agency front-office communications, including talking points and executive briefings
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Work is onsite at DOL headquarters in Washington, D.C. during normal business hours, Monday through Friday
