Senior Analytics Consultant (Sigma)

Senior Analytics Consultant (Sigma)-San Francisco, CA

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analytics Consultant with expertise in data visualization, modeling, and proficiency in the Sigma Computing platform. The successful candidate will play a crucial role working with phData clients in order to transform raw data into actionable insights, helping our teams make data-driven decisions.

In addition to Sigma, the ideal individual will have strong background in Excel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or a related field.


• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a data analytics or reporting role.


• Demonstrated expertise in Sigma Computing platform.


• Proven experience configuring and managing Sigma Input (Rightback) and Embedded Tables to enable real-time, user-driven data entry and updates within Sigma workbooks.


• Excel certification strongly preferred


• Experience with Power BI, Tableau analytics tools is a plus.


• Strong proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques.


• Experience in SQL and data modeling concepts.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Visualization and Reporting:

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Sigma.


• Ensure data visualizations effectively communicate complex data insights in a clear and intuitive manner.


• Work closely with stakeholders to identify reporting needs and customize visualizations accordingly.

Data Modeling:

• Create and manage robust data models in Sigma to support the analytics and reporting needs of the business.


• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by establishing validation rules and data governance practices.


• Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to integrate new data sources and enhance existing ones.

Platform Management:

• Establish best practices, framework, and policies for phData’s governed self-service analytics platform. 


• Manage and optimize the usage and access of the Sigma platform in regards to internal reporting.


• Stay updated with new Sigma features, ensuring the company is leveraging the platform to its full potential.


• Provide training and support to other Sigma users using your reports.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Partner with senior leaders across the company reporting and analytics needs.


• Communicate findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring they understand the implications for the business.


• Participate in cross-functional projects, bringing data visualization and modeling expertise.

Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor, analyze, and provide feedback on report usage, suggesting improvements or new reports to meet changing business needs.
