Senior Application Failure Analysis Engineer

Summary:

Our client is seeking a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer to join their team! This role will investigate power supply and system-level failures, supporting both internal and external customers, with a primary focus on clients in China and Taiwan. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in semiconductor failure analysis and be fluent in Mandarin and English.

Responsibilities:

• Debug and verify functionality of AC/DC switching power supply modules across multiple topologies
• Perform root cause analysis on power ICs during reliability testing, production testing, and power supply applications
• Isolate faults and characterize defects in analog and mixed-signal ICs
• Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports for product and power supply failure investigations
• Serve as a liaison between engineering and sales teams to support the resolution of customer quality issues
• Collaborate with customers in China and Taiwan to resolve quality concerns and maintain satisfaction
• Communicate technical findings clearly in both written and spoken formats for diverse audiences

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in failure analysis within the semiconductor industry
• Strong background in power semiconductor, analog, or mixed-signal IC failure analysis
• Familiarity with switch-mode power supply applications and related integrated circuit components
• Ability to interpret system-level and IC-level schematics, including CMOS and bipolar layouts
• Fluency in Mandarin (spoken, written, and reading) is required
• Strong proficiency in English, especially for technical communication

Education/Certification Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required
