Senior Application Security & Modernization Engineer

Scheduled Milestones and Deliverables

• Participate in the Agile development process managed by the department, contributing to the backlog of prioritized development items.
  


• Deliver tested, deployable code at the conclusion of each Agile Sprint.
  


• Provide timely resolution of assigned support tickets, ensuring quality assurance (QA) review and acceptance.
  


• Deliver integration services as agreed upon by the development team, typically within a one\- to two\-week timeframe for new data queries or service integrations.
  

Metrics to Measure Performance

• Customer satisfaction and timely delivery of business requirements.
  


• Number of service requests resolved or initiated.
  


• Number of work items (tasks, bugs, and user stories) completed.
  


• Feedback gathered from team members regarding collaboration and quality of deliverables.
  

Requirements

Role and Responsibilities of the Resource Request

• Design and develop the visitor access application to meet defined business requirements.
  


• Analyze business requirements and collaborate with the development team to translate them into technical specifications.
  


• Design, code, test, and debug application components.
  


• Mentor junior team members and ensure adherence to established software quality standards.
  


• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for features, integrations, and system design.
  


• Research and evaluate potential technology solutions to align with business and security requirements.
  

Education Requirements

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field or equivalent practical experience (5+ years) in software development and application modernization.
  


• Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or advanced coursework in software architecture, cybersecurity, or human‑computer interaction.
  


• Certifications: Strongly preferred certifications include CISSP, CSSLP, or cloud certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer / Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer / DevOps Engineer.
