Description

Summary of Position:

Assemblers are responsible for building various assemblies and subassemblies following U.S. Cargo Systems and AS9100 requirements. They build and perform tests on systems and components to determine operability, quality, performance, and suitability. They troubleshoot, repair, and modify systems and components as appropriate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform equipment setup, operation, adjustments, and minor preventative maintenance tasks to meet all safety, quality, and efficiency standards. 
  • Run tests on all assemblies and equipment for safety and productivity as required.
  • Identify problems in testing assemblies and equipment, and identify potential solutions to troubleshoot the issue using technical knowledge.
  • Maintain quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products to ensure they conform to specifications and codes.
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. US Cargo Systems will require proof of status before employment.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Advanced degree is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong electromechanical skills

  • Maneuvers in, around, under, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and comply with OSHA standards. 
  • Must be able to work night shift and weekends.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility. 

This position's environmental characteristic is a manufacturing setting, and it is occasionally exposed to heat, cold, and wet conditions.
