Senior Associate + Architect (10+ yrs experience)

About the role:

Our ideal candidate has experience in excellent project management skills in one or more of DTJ’s areas of focus. Applicants should be able to balance design creativity with solid construction knowledge, and Revit understanding.  Ability to express design thoughts through hand sketching, Sketchup and the Adobe Creative Suite is desirable.  Position requires skills in leading and inspiring a team of other design professionals and integrating DTJ’s multi-discipline project approach.  Demonstrated ability to play a significant role in marketing and business development is a special opportunity for this role.  This position is a potential track to studio, office, and firm leadership for motivated and talented individuals, with an emphasis on client interaction.

• Strong design and graphic skills
• Emphasis on developing and nurturing client relationships
• Ability to motivate and lead teams
• Ability to assemble entitlement drawings and documentation packages
• Positive attitude and great communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Construction/technical knowledge
• Interdisciplinary collaboration
• Knowledgeable with BIM 360, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam
• Knowledge/experience in Sketchup other modeling software preferred
