Senior Associate Attorney – Employment & Class Action Litigation

Location: Seattle, WA (On-Site)
Compensation: $130,000 – $250,000 base (DOE)
Job Code: JPC-495

Why This Is a Great Opportunity

Step into a senior, high-impact role at a nationally recognized plaintiff-side firm as it expands its Washington practice and builds out its Seattle office. This position offers significant responsibility leading wage-and-hour and employment class and representative actions against regional, national, and Fortune 500 employers.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the firm’s presence in Washington—handling complex litigation, mentoring junior attorneys, and working closely with firm leadership in a mission-driven environment focused on results and client advocacy.

The Role

As a Senior Associate Attorney, you will lead complex employment and class action litigation in Washington and California state and federal courts. This is a hands-on role with ownership across all phases of litigation, suited for an experienced litigator ready to take on leadership responsibility without the bureaucracy of a large firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage wage-and-hour, employment, and consumer class and representative actions
  • Own all phases of litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation
  • Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions and complex briefs in state and federal courts
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts; prepare clients and witnesses for testimony
  • Conduct advanced legal research and provide strategic analysis on statutes, regulations, and case law
  • Represent clients in hearings, conferences, mediations, and settlement negotiations
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to manage class cases and high-volume litigation efficiently
  • Mentor junior attorneys and support staff, contributing to the growth and development of the Seattle office
  • Travel occasionally for hearings, depositions, and case-related needs

Qualifications

Required – No Exceptions

  • Active license to practice law in California or Washington (CA or WA Bar required)
  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience with substantial responsibility for discovery, motion practice, oral advocacy, and depositions
  • Demonstrated stable employment history (average tenure of ~2 years per role)
  • Strong written advocacy skills with a track record of drafting high-quality motions, briefs, and discovery
  • Confident courtroom presence and strong deposition and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage a demanding litigation docket in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Professional, reliable work history with mature judgment and client-facing experience
  • Ability to work on-site full-time in Seattle

Preferred

  • Prior experience with wage-and-hour, employment law, class actions, or complex litigation
  • Experience mentoring junior attorneys or leading case teams

About Our Client
