Job Summary:

The Senior Associate will manage funds disbursement activities and will be handling a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate loans and joint venture equity assets, ensuring that all financial transactions are executed accurately and efficiently. The Senior Associate will be processing sweep transactions, which involve the automatic transfer of funds to meet obligations or optimize account balances, and managing direction letters that provide instructions for the disbursement of funds. The Senior Associate will be tasked with verifying the accuracy of these transactions, coordinating with internal departments to obtain necessary approvals, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the cash flow of complex deal structures and participations.


• Execute cash management sweeps, direction letters, and manage internal/external funds movement, including advance draws and reserve disbursements.


• Prepare direction letters and maintain an internal repository of wire references for each disbursement made at Trimont's request.


• Set up initial monthly waterfall/sweep templates, including interpreting the waterfall in the Loan Agreement and collecting/verifying all relevant wire instructions.


• Prepare monthly waterfalls/sweeps and ensure their accuracy against billing statements and all other amounts due.


• Assess monthly operating expense true-ups as necessary and implement them into the waterfall/sweep.


• Coordinate waterfall/sweep approval with Asset Management.


• Prepare vouchers for shortfalls and other types of funding, including Domestic, Intercompany, Foreign, and Check Vouchers.


• Collaborate with Asset Managers and Financial Analysts to ensure the accuracy of provided information.


• Work with all levels of management and departments to ensure vouchers are completed in a timely manner.


• Manage the mechanics of funding principal advances and other reserve/escrow disbursement requests.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related business field (Accounting, Finance, etc.).


• 3+ years of experience in cash processing, funds disbursement, waterfall structures, and banking.


• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.


• Thorough understanding of general commercial loan servicing practices and standards.


• Experience with securitized assets, CREFC (Commercial Real Estate Finance Council) standards.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Organizational and administrative skills.


• Skilled in managing sensitive information while upholding privacy.


• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
