About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our Deep Tech Fund team. This individual will be a core part of the investment team, reporting directly to and working closely with Managing Partner Matt Caspari. This individual will support researching, sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities and managing relationships with existing portfolio companies. Alumni Ventures is a co-investor, investing alongside well-established venture funds and the Senior Associate will build relationships with fellow venture investors.

This position is based out of Alumni Ventures’ Menlo Park office and is a hybrid role, with an expectation that this individual will work from the office at least 4 days per week. Alumni Ventures is a fast-paced, professional, entrepreneurial environment.

Role / Responsibilities
· Identify and research potential investment opportunities
· Develop and maintain the deal pipeline and related database inputs
· Support due diligence and building investment memos
· Manage administrative tasks and recommend process and product improvements
· Assist in the monitoring of existing investments and support portco founders
· Engage with key players (VCs, entrepreneurs, incubators, and more) to broaden our network
· Support recruiting, training and managing Fellows for deal outreach and research
· Educate entrepreneurs and others in the startup ecosystem about Alumni Ventures, our investment thesis and our investment process
· Support organizing and hosting community events
· Work closely and collaboratively with the Managing Partner, as well as other team members across Alumni Ventures
Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
· 1-2 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, growth equity preferred
· 4-6 years of additional professional experience in finance, start-up

strategy/operations,

consulting and/or other applicable experience

Salary:

$125,000-$150,000 plus carry, equity and bonus
