Job Description - Senior Associate, Reporting & Systems

LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are on a singular mission to create an Olympic and Paralympic Games that celebrate all that this city and country have to offer, delivering an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners and our community.  


The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles’ third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles.

Sr. Associate, Systems and Reporting:


The Sr. Associate, Systems and Reporting is part of the central Program Management Team reporting into the Sr. Manager Process & Frameworks. This role is critical to supporting the development and maintenance of technical data tracking and reporting solutions that drive operational excellence across our LA28 games programs and project teams’ delivery. They will be integral in developing Gamestime reporting for the Main Operations Center. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver with deep expertise in Smartsheet development and a passion for continuous improvement.  


Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external teams is essential to providing strong technical solutions development, solution adoption, and process adherence across the LA28 project teams. This is a highly collaborative role and is best for someone who enjoys working with a team to make sense of complex and sometimes contradictory information to solve problems and bring people together towards delivering sustainable solutions. 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Design, build, and maintain Smartsheet solutions to support project tracking, reporting, and automation 

  • Deliver creative and scalable technical solutions to meet evolving business needs 

  • Support operational and administrative technical functions and reporting  

  • Maintain and enhance Smartsheet systems and integrations 

  • Help define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) 

  • Identify and implement process improvements across teams 

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation 


Background & Requirements:



  • 4+ years of experience ideating and building Smartsheet technical solutions 

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills across cross-functional teams 

  • Demonstrated continuous improvement expertise 

  • Customer focused mindset with the ability to assess requirements and develop creative solutions 

  • Technical background in consulting and solutions implementation 

  • Experience supporting large-scale programs or events is a plus

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and team members 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective internal and external communications  

  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and governance activities

  • Creative and effective problem-solving skills to address complex cross-functional or cross-programme issues with simple, practical solutions

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities

  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and teams

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate project progress and make informed decisions

  • Excellent judgment, knowing when to escalate issues 

  • Excellent analytical skills, capable of identifying and prioritizing issues and providing alternative solutions 


Education:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical field, with strong experience creating and delivering Smartsheet solutions 

  • Experience working in technical project development roles

  • Ongoing professional development, certification, or training in program and project management, change management, LEAN


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:



  • Ability to work on-site in an office environment, based in Los Angeles, CA 


The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000.00 - $98,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
