Job Description - Senior Auditor, Quality Assurance

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Auditor, Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring the Quality Management System (QMS) meets the highest level of quality and customer expectations and for monitoring and auditing the QMS to internal, regulatory, statutory, and customer requirements in accordance with an established audit process and schedule. The Senior Auditor, Quality Assurance, is also responsible for maintaining the vendor approval process and conducting investigations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs scheduled and unscheduled audits of the repair station, its facility and vendors, sub-contractors, suppliers and manufactures for compliance with Aspire MRO and Customer policies and procedures, and with Regulatory requirements (FAA, etc.).
Presents audit data and findings in an organized and understandable manner.
Works with management team to resolve audit findings.
The primary member of Quality Assurance to coordinate with the Purchasing department to evaluate, approve, and monitor vendors/suppliers.
Assists with the development of audit checklists and reports to support the internal and external audit program.
Conducts investigations into aircraft, component, and/or equipment damage and/or rework as required.
Evaluates existing internal procedures for compliance with regulatory requirements.
Works with subject matter experts to develop, implement, and improve internal policies, procedures, and other documentation.
Corrective Action Request (CAR) issuance and verification/follow-up.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

:

Bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related quality auditing field.
Airframe & Power Plant license.
8+ years of overall aviation maintenance experience with 4+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance related position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul industry (14 CFR Part 145 MRO)
Formal quality auditor training.
SUCCESS FACTORS/JOB COMPETENCIES :

Experienced with interpretation and application of 14 CFR Parts 145, 135, 121, 91, 65, 43, and 21 Regulatory Requirements.
Understanding of Repair Station Operations.
Strong organizational skills and is very detail oriented.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using standard English. Must be able to understand, read, write and speak Standard English, including technical, aircraft and quality control-related vocabulary, for technical and general business correspondence and for producing work products.
Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
Be able to analyze information and utilize problem solving skills.
Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies, processes and procedures.
Experience working with Microsoft Office programs.
