Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a senior backend engineer to join our team in India. As one of the founding members of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping our product and engineering culture.

What you will do

• Build Finn AI, the first AI-powered wealth manager.

• Develop and maintain the core backend infrastructure of the Finvest platform.

• Push the boundaries of engineering as we build solutions for money management, using AI and data to make complex finance easier for everyone.

• Work closely with frontend engineers and the rest of the founding team to build exceptional user experiences.

What you are good at

• Have 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer developing and deploying production-level backend systems

• Experience with ML models and AI-driven systems - either from past projects or a strong willingness to work on ML-powered applications

• Fluent in Node/Typescript, Python, Postgres, and AWS

• Proven ability to architect complex distributed system with experience in services like Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes

• Experience with performance and optimization problems and eagerness to both diagnose and prevent these problems

• Comfortable taking ownership from start to finish, build new systems from scratch, and iterate quickly in a startup environment.
