Your Role

• Manage cases from intake to closure in a supportive but fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities:




• Reduce Mark’s decision fatigue to free him to focus on his competencies: client development, client counseling, strategic legal thinking, trials, negotiations, vision, and marketing.


• Help at counsel’s table in court.


• Crush deadlines with no errors.


• Move all cases forward - always.


• Deliver exceptional client experience that turns clients into raving fans.


• Manage docket, 341 meetings, discovery, calendar, communications, and files.


• Conduct legal research/writing, prepare trial notebooks, and craft compelling plain English demand letters, pleadings, motions, notices, etc.


• Draft Chapter 11, 7, 11, and 15 petitions, schedules, objections, adversaries, etc.


• Anticipate and independently solve challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or SBOT board certification.


• 5+ years of Texas bankruptcy and collections.


• Well-versed in Federal & Texas civil procedure, evidence, and collection law; Bankruptcy rules and statutes; and Pacer e-filing.


• Proficient in or quick to master AI (Grok, Claude), Westlaw, Office 365, Clio, etc.


• Big picture and detail-oriented.


• Coachable, self-reflective, competitive (but not cut-throat).

Compensation

• $80,000-$90,000+ base salary commensurate with experience, skills, and ability to quickly jump into the fray with limited guidance.


• Monthly/quarterly bonuses tied to KPIs.
