Senior Scientist Flavors R&D (Beverage Focus)

Join our Flavors R&D team as a Senior Scientist to lead the development, scale-up, and commercialization of innovative flavor systems for food and beverage applications. This role requires strong technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive projects from concept to market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead product development, innovation, and scale-up of beverage solutions.
• Optimize sensory and functional performance of new beverage products.
• Translate consumer needs into technical strategies and product concepts.
• Support cost-saving, quality improvement, and production efficiency initiatives.
• Serve as a technical expert in customer meetings and internal cross-functional teams.
• Conduct experiments, product testing, and data analysis to support commercialization.
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Mentor junior scientists and uphold lab standards and safety practices.

Qualifications:

• BS in Food Science or related field with 10+ years experience, or MS with 5+ years.
• 5+ years in beverage formulation and scale-up (dairy, carbonated, fortified, etc.).
• Experience with UHT/HTST processing preferred.
• Strong background in ingredient functionality (flavors, proteins, vitamins, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficient in formulation tools and Microsoft Office.

Work Conditions:

• Lab and pilot plant work with occasional travel.
• Some physical tasks and exposure to variable plant conditions.
