Senior Business Development Manager – Reseller Partnerships

Location: Onsite in New York (Brooklyn)
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 ($200k OTE)

As they continue to scale, they are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to expand and strengthen their reseller partnerships — especially those with access to high-demand inventory.

Role Overview

The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, building, and managing strategic partnerships with large-scale resellers who can supply in-demand, authentic fashion items. Your focus will be on expanding the company’s product supply, growing the reseller network, and driving revenue through high-value relationships. This role is crucial to maintaining the platform’s status as a trusted destination for rare and luxury goods.

Key Responsibilities

-> Reseller Partnerships: Source, engage, and nurture relationships with high-volume resellers to ensure a consistent flow of authentic, high-demand products to the platform.
-> Inventory Strategy: Manage the supply chain of rare and luxury items from trusted partners to meet the platform’s demand.
-> Market Expansion: Identify and tap into new regions or customer segments with reseller potential. Develop strategies to increase market share in emerging areas.
-> Revenue Growth: Drive revenue by expanding the reseller network, opening new sales channels, and supporting resellers' success on the platform.
-> Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams including marketing, product, operations, and finance to align on initiatives and ensure smooth execution.
-> Negotiation & Contracts: Lead partnership negotiations with resellers, establishing mutually beneficial terms and long-term agreements.
-> Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance and strategic direction.
-> Data-Driven Strategy: Leverage data insights and market trends to inform decision-making and optimize partnership strategies.

The candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to driving the growth of our client in the U.S. market. This team is comprised of:
-> Business Development Professionals: Skilled individuals who focus on identifying and acquiring new sellers, leveraging their extensive industry networks.
-> Marketing Specialists: Creative minds responsible for promoting our platform and products, developing campaigns that resonate with our target audience.
-> Data Analysts: Experts in analyzing market trends and sales data, providing insights to optimize seller performance and product offerings.
-> Product Managers: Individuals who ensure that our platform meets the needs of both sellers and buyers, collaborating closely with the development team to enhance user experience.
-> Logistics Coordinators: Dedicated team members who handle the operational aspects of seller onboarding and product delivery, ensuring a seamless experience for both sellers and customers.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience: Solid background in business development, sales strategy, or partnership management—ideally within e-commerce, fashion, or luxury goods.

  • Reseller Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep understanding of the reseller landscape, particularly those with high-volume supply capabilities.
  • Market Expansion Expertise: Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in new or emerging markets.
  • Results-Driven: A proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience managing and mentoring business development teams, with a focus on performance and strategic alignment.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Comfortable using data and insights to guide decisions, optimize performance, and drive sustainable growth.
  • Passion for the Space: Genuine interest in fashion, streetwear, sneakers, and the resale culture is a strong plus.
